JOB DESCRIPTION

SOS International LLC (SOSi), is seeking an Engineering Director, Sr / Subject Matter Expert to perform Project/Program Execution Oversight and Requirements Analysis key duties, with and on behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense Program Integration Office (OSD PIO).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Oversee classified and unclassified programs
  • Attend kickoff, review, planning, testing, demonstration, and out-brief meetings as required
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor metrics for execution oversight
  • Ensure milestones and deliverables are accomplished on schedule
  • Coordinate training and transition efforts
  • Ensure technical support throughtransition
  • Interact with Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Services, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs), either in meetings at PIO, visits to the agencies, or inthird partylocations, to discuss their needs and requirements
  • Execute requirements analyses on those needs to identify gaps and shortfalls that can be fulfilled by PIO or other agencies
  • Identify both the explicit and implicit requirements that need to be fulfilled and the proper schedule for fulfilling them
  • Support the PIO to identify critical operational needs and identify, prioritize and recommend candidate solutions for key gaps, shortfalls and operational needs in support of RDT&E efforts
  • Assist in identifying and characterizing difficult Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) problems
  • Assess the capabilities and suitability of identified technology solutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Current DOD Top Secret with SCI Access (TS/SCI)
  • Bachelor’s degree and 20 years’ experience in working with SOCOM
  • Successfully managed and transitioned Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD) programs for the USG
  • Command Experience at the O6 (Colonel) level
  • Must possess Microsoft Office Skills, and be familiar withbriefingat the Senior Military Officer and Senior Executive Service levels
  • Must have experience working in Science and Technology Technical GAP analysis for over 5 years
