SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Carpenter for our current contract located on Camp Taji in Iraq.


•Provide essential carpentry and locksmith functions

•Provides guidance to staff and ensures projects are completed in a timely manner

•Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in building, repairing, or modifying wooden structures

•Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for all phases of carpentry

•Performs framing, drywall, tape and bed for multiple structures on site

•Performs mill work, case work and trim

•Performs preventative maintenance to include painting and finishing

•Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and also services mechanical or electrical locking devices, using hand tools special equipment

•Disassembles locks, padlocks, safe locks plus door locks plus repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs and other parts

•Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combination

•Cuts new or duplicate keys, using keycutting machine

•Moves lock pick in cylinder to open door locks without keys

•Opens safe locks by drilling

•Provides a record of changed company locks/keys to Supervisor

•Identifies potential problems or areas for improvement and provide solutions

•Performs other duties as assigned by management


•Must have five years of experience as a Carpenter

•Demonstrated knowledge and skills in carpentry

•Ability to speak, read, and write English at a professional level

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel




•Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
