SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking Aviation Maintenance Instructor (AMI ) for a proposal in Iraq.

Essential Job Duties:

•Conducts formal instruction, including classroom academics and hands-on demonstration, as part of a training team curriculum to train and mentor foreign aircraft maintenance personnel with a focus on the skills of the US Army 15 series Military Occupational Skills (MOS) including:

o15S – Helicopter Repair

o15B Powerplant Repair and Maintenance

o15D Powertrain Repair and Maintenance

o15F Electrical System Repair and Maintenance

o15G Structural Repair and Maintenance

o15H Pneudraulics System Repair and Maintenance

oProperty/Inventory Management

•Advise foreign aviation unit maintainers in helicopter maintenance techniques and procedures on the following types of airframes:

oBell Huey II

oBell 206B

oBell IA-407/407GX

oMI-17

oEurocopters

oFrench Aerospatiale Gazelle helicopter

•Assist in development and revision of Maintenance/Repair Programs of Instruction as required

•Assists in development of Program Management Reviews (PMR) for submission to corporate leadership, senior management and military personnel, as required, to include development of training reports, After Action Reviews (AAR), Training Schedules, and other contract deliverables as requested in support of the program

•As directed/required may be tasked to manage the updating, tracking, and submittal of personnel tracking rosters to include R&R schedules, Off-Base Movement Trackers, Contact Information Schedules, etc.

•Ensures compliance with applicable governing policies, procedures, and regulations.

•Position may require individual(s) to conduct daily interface with high profile staff members as well as visiting dignitaries

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

•Must have a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable experience as US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps Aviation Maintenance Warrant Officer or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (E7/E8) responsible for Aviation Maintenance and Repair (*Applicants with military rank of E6/SSG may be acceptable if specific skill sets and experience meet minimum requirements).

•Valid US motor vehicle operator’s license

•Must have certified training in US Army 15 series MOS – 15S, 15B, 15D, 15F, 15G, or 15H, Federal Aviation Authority (FAA), or other US military branch equivalent certification

•Must have prior experience working contingency operations, preferably in the Middle East or Africa, preferably Iraq and/or Afghanistan

•Must be able to work in a high stress atmosphere and make sound decisions in a timely manner

•Experience working on projects which are being accomplished under US Federal contracting laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and practices

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Preferred Requirements:

•Experience as Production Control or Quality Control OIC, NCOIC in US Army, US Marine, US Navy, or US Air Force Aviation Maintenance Unit

•Experience as Technical Inspector for Production Control or Quality Control in US Army, US Marine, US Navy, or US Air Force Aviation Maintenance Unit

•US Army TRADOC Certified Instructor or other US military branch equivalent certification.

•3-5 years as Instructor/Trainer/Advisor

•Verifiable experience as instructor/trainer/advisor; US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Certified Instructor preferred

•Previous experience executing operations in Middle East/Africa AOR – Iraq, Afghanistan, UAE, Africa
