About the Job

STG, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Lead to add to its team in support of the United States Air Force. This position is located in Montgomery, Alabama. The Infrastructure Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of Systems Engineers who maintain the integrity of the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide guidance to a team of Systems Engineers.

  • Perform high-level systems analysis, evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and implementation of highly specialized applications.

  • Direct and participate in all phases of system development with emphasis on planning, analysis, evaluation, integration, testing and acceptance phases.

  • Apply higher-level business or technical principles and methods to very difficult technical problems to arrive at automated engineering solutions.

  • Design and prepares technical reports and related documentation as well as makes charts and graphs to record results.

  • Design, document, maintain, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions.

  • Maintain network connections including SIPRNet.

  • Implement and maintain all aspects and capabilities of SAN/NAS, disk arrays, controllers, switches, cabling, software interface management, LAN/WAN.

  • Advise on the configuring and managing of cloud environments.

  • Maintain wireless Hand Held Terminals and Access Points.

  • Maintain end to end capability, from client/user through infrastructure to the target host/server.

  • Help maintain inventory of all equipment and provide reports on equipment capabilities.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 6+ years in System Engineering, prior experience with IT support preferred.

  • Successful track record of designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network solutions.

  • Experience planning personnel requirements and changing mission requirements.

  • Experience with managerial activities in an enterprise level IT environment.

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (SSCP, CCNA-Security, GSEC, Security+)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years in System Engineering, prior experience with IT support preferred.

  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • ITILv3
