Job Description:

The Operations Bridge Manager Assistant Team Lead provides operational and technical support to the most dynamic Cyber Center in the U.S. Army. The successful candidate has to possess both verbal and written communication skills, be able to coach and mentor, know and understand the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) process, enforce policies, and have experience in TTP/SOP creation and review. They will have a good overall knowledge of information technology networks and systems, enjoy being in a position of great responsibility, and works closely as a team. The Operations Bridge Manager Assistant Team Lead is a seasoned IT professional who:

  • Ensures prompt service restoration and conformance to organizational processes and service level targets (SLT).

  • Makes sound decisions with regard to service delivery and incident response, with the ability to coach teach and mentor subordinates to do the same.

  • Audits tickets to ensure proper prioritization of incidents, ensure that resources are assigned appropriately towards incident resolution, and operational impact is understood. Identify shortcomings and retrain as necessary.

  • Inspects Network Bulletins (NB), Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI), and Commanders Critical Information Reports (CCIR) approved for the CONUS Theater, ensuring the established process is followed.

  • In conjunction with Team Lead, closely monitors OBMs tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to ensure accurate reporting to senior leaders.

  • Monitor, inspect, and evaluate all written products delivered to the customer for technical accuracy.

  • Ensure adherence to team, organization, and company policies and procedures.

  • Adapt to the dynamic environment by producing temporary procedures

  • in response to unforeseen requirements.

  • Act in the absence of the team lead and attend organizational meetings as required.

  • Is open minded and able to adapt to change in a fluid environment.

  • Understands and ensures customer service is paramount.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the 24/7 technical oversight of a complex Cyber Information Technology (IT) environment supporting the Army’s CONUS Theater.

  • Ensures prompt service restoration and conformance to organizational processes and service level targets (SLT).

  • Serves as the organization’s lightening rod for synergetic collaboration and situational understanding.

  • Monitors a variety of tool sets and Incidents to ensure service reliability and executes recall procedure for on-call staff outside of core duty hours when necessary.

  • Approves, monitors, and reports on Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI).

  • Reviews Commander’s Critical Information Reports (CCIR) for technical accuracy prior to distribution to the CONUS Theater.

  • Subject matter expert with regard to policy and procedure.

  • Remains acutely aware of changes within the environment.

Qualifications:

  • HS +6 years’ experience or AA/AS +4 or BA/BS +2

  • ITIL Foundations V3 preferred

  • To include 2+ years’ experience in a technical position (IE: IT/ VTC/ development)

  • Be able to work M-F during core duty hours (mission dictates) and must be able to fill gaps in a flexible rotating schedule 24 x 7 x 365

  • Positive, focused, and engaging team player is a must

  • Must be highly organized and adaptive to change

  • Understanding of the Army missions and how IT contributes to the delivery of products or services supporting those missions

  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of Army customer organizations (verbal and written)

  • Must possess basic overall IT knowledge

  • Must have current DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain DOD Top Secret Clearance
